Bereavement is something that affects
us all. When someone dies, people who were close to them have lots
of different feelings. We may feel sad or feel that something is
missing from their lives. Sometimes, the death means changes to
our lives and we think about how life was and perhaps we worry about
how things are going to be now.
Because of our feelings and the changes that may happen, we often
spend a lot of time remembering the person who has died, what they
gave to us and our lives, what they mean to us now that we can look
back over their whole life, and how we really feel about them. We
get them and their lives in proportion, balance up the good and
bad things that we have thought and felt about them.
This CD-ROM suggests some things that you might like to use to
help you do this thinking and feeling for yourself. You certainly
don’t have to use all of it, or any of it. But if some part
of it seems interesting and useful to you, why not have a go? One
of the activities suggests making a book or file about the person
who has died. You can print off some of the activities for your
file or book. But it’s your CD-ROM; so feel free to look at
anything you want to.
